What is Mindful Tarot?
Mindful Tarot is a reflective practice — using Tarot’s archetypal imagery as a way of understanding what is present within you, here and now.
It’s not about predicting the future. It’s about seeing yourself clearly, right now.
Why Mindful Tarot is Different
“Mindful” here means conscious. Intentional. Fully present.
This is not about emptying the mind, but engaging with it.
Questioning. Exploring. Discovering.
Mindful Tarot brings together:
Ancient symbolic wisdom - Present-moment awareness - Deep psychological understanding - Honest self-exploration
The result is often a clearer sense of what is already present — and how you might move forward with it.
It IS:
A contemplative practice
A tool for accessing inner wisdom
A framework for understanding patterns, emotions, and choices
A meaningful pause in a chaotic world
It is NOT:
Fortune-telling
Mystical performance or entertainment
Passive “messages from the universe”
External authority overriding your inner guidance
The Seven Pillars of Mindful Tarot
The Seven Pillars were created to return Tarot to its most valuable purpose:
supporting you to think clearly, trust yourself more deeply, and navigate life with grounded insight — not mystical dependency.
Each pillar represents a shift from external answers to inner clarity.
Our Seven Pillars:
You’re welcome to explore any of the pillars that feel relevant — there’s no need to read them all at once.
-
"We are not seeking to know the future. We are learning to be present with what is."
Mindful Tarot anchors you in the now. The cards don’t tell you what will happen tomorrow — they illuminate what is alive within you today.
Practice:
Before every reading, we pause. We breathe. We arrive fully in this moment. -
"The cards don’t have answers. You do."
Traditional Tarot frames the reader as the oracle.
Mindful Tarot reframes the cards as a mirror — a reflection of your inner landscape.Practice:
We ask: “What does this card reflect about your current experience?” -
"Every card is an invitation to explore, not a verdict to accept."
Archetypes like The Hermit, The Tower, or The Star aren’t fixed meanings.
They are openings for dialogue.Practice:
We inquire:
“What does this symbol mean to you right now?” -
"We hold space without judgment for whatever arises."
Borrowed from mindfulness — noticing without fixing, witnessing without resistance.
Practice:
When difficult cards appear, we sit with what arises. We breathe into the discomfort. We honour it. -
"Wisdom lives in the body, not just the mind."
Mindful Tarot is not only intellectual.
We notice how insights land physically — tension, ease, warmth, contraction.Practice:
We ask: “Where do you feel this in your body?” -
"The reading doesn’t end when the cards close."
Insight is only the beginning.
Transformation happens in the days and weeks after, as reflection continues to deepen.Practice:
Every session includes integration tools — prompts, practices, and questions to carry forward. -
"You are the authority on your own life."
Mindful Tarot returns power to the seeker.
You don’t need someone to tell you what to do.
You need a guide who helps you remember what you already know.Practice:
We end with grounding questions:
“What feels true?” “What action feels aligned?”
For many people, this understanding becomes clearer not just through reading about it, but through experiencing a Mindful Tarot session itself — where the cards simply become a structure for thoughtful conversation and reflection.
Words From Seekers
“I joined Nicky for a Tarot Reading she made me feel relaxed and comfortable. She outlined the process and I was ready to begin.
As she worked her way around the circle of cards she had laid on the table I began to understand that the cards were linked to my recent experiences.
It was clear from then on that Nicky had a clear picture of my issues. I not only got comfort from this but I had a good idea what I was going to do going forward. I found a kind of peace — she was great. Thank you Nicky.”
— Jacquie B, Midlands
“Had a session with Nicky and she was fantastic. Very professional but in a warm and welcoming setting. I would definitely recommend her for an accurate and insightful reading.”
